Spam can be sent to an address that looks like this:<\/p>\n
dlsi.biz@proxy.dreamhost.com or valleau.gallery@proxy.dreamhost.com<\/p>\n
instead of yourname@address.com (ie myname@dlsi.biz)<\/p>\n
That is something in the form of \u00a0“address.com@proxy.yourISP.net”<\/p>\n
What’s happened here is that the website has been placed in front of the proxy at my ISP.<\/p>\n
Yours may look like amug.org@proxy.cox.net.<\/p>\n
Well: no one I want contacting me uses that kind of address. Ipso – if the address contains “@proxy.myisp.net” I have set up a black list to just dump those emails. I never see them. If you can’t set up such a list via your webmail, then you can use it as a regular filter\/rule in your email client.<\/p>\n
